Why Choose KG-BSD

  1. Three-Direction Rear Radar Monitoring. Simultaneous coverage of left-rear, right-rear and directly-rear traffic inside a 30-meter zone — far wider than conventional mirrors.
  2. Sub-3-Second Warning Response. Vehicles entering the defense zone at relative speed ≥ 10 km/h are flagged in less than 3 seconds, giving the rider a practical window to react.
  3. Dual Warning Logic (Color-Coded). Left threat → left yellow light. Right threat → right yellow light. Rear closing threat → both lights red. Multi-direction threat → all lights on. No guessing, no screen-glance required.
  4. ACC Power, Plug-and-Ride. Hard-wires to the motorcycle's 12–24 V ACC line and converts to 5 V / 1 A internally — powers on with the bike, no manual switch, no battery drain.
  5. All-Weather Reliability. Whole-unit weatherproof design keeps the radar reading accurately in rain and fog; operating temperature range −40 °C to 80 °C ( −40 °F to 176 °F ) covers arctic winters and tropical summers alike.
  6. Universal Fit, DIY Install. Supplied with bracket, adhesive pads, nuts & wrenches — no permanent modification to the bike. Fits roadsters, street bikes, pedal, retro, cruise, travel, cross-country, big-displacement bending-beam and pulling bikes.

Ideal B2B use cases

  • Motorcycle accessory importers & distributors seeking an all-in-one BSD retrofit kit.
  • E-scooter / e-moped brands that want to bundle blind-spot safety as a value-add feature.
  • Fleet operators (delivery, police, rental, motorcycle tourism) requiring after-market radar retrofits.
  • Motorcycle OEM / ODM plants wanting a reference design they can brand and integrate.

How to start an OEM / ODM project

  1. Send your requirements — target markets, expected annual volume, branding assets (logo, color), preferred packaging, any local certification needs.
  2. Sample kit shipped — typically 1 – 2 weeks for standard configuration; 3 – 4 weeks with custom bracket or branded shell.
  3. Confirm & mass production — sample sign-off → PO → mass production with QC report attached.
  4. Shipment support — FOB Shenzhen, CIF, DDP, or your nominated forwarder. Mixed-container loading with other accessories on request.

Universal Motorcycle Compatibility

The KG-BSD is a universal-fit BSD kit confirmed by the manufacturer for all motorcycle models. Sample categories it has been installed on:

  • Roadster
  • Street bikes
  • Pedal / scooter
  • Retro / classic
  • Cruise
  • Travel / touring
  • Cross-country
  • Big-displacement bending-beam (Z-bars / handlebar conversions)
  • Pulling / load bikes

We welcome inquiries for non-listed motorcycle categories — the radar and warning units are model-agnostic; only the host bracket may need to be adapted.

All-Weather Reliability

  • Whole-machine weatherproof design — sealed against rain, splash and fog.
  • Continues to deliver accurate warnings in rain, fog and night riding when rear-view mirror visibility is degraded.
  • Wide operating temperature range −40 °C to 80 °C ( −40 °F to 176 °F ) for cold-region and tropical-region deployment.
  • Constant-on with the bike; no manual start-up delay before the radar becomes effective.

Installation Guide

Tools you need: supplied nuts/wrenches, screwdriver, multimeter (for ACC line detection).

Step 1 — Mount the radar host.

  1. Stick the host bracket to the motorcycle tail section using the supplied bracket adhesive.
  1. Reinforce with screws or cable ties where possible.
  1. Snap the BSD host onto the bracket.
  1. If the supplied bracket does not fit your model perfectly, a custom bracket can be fabricated to suit — the radar unit itself is universal.

Step 2 — Mount the warning lights.

  1. Use the supplied adhesive pads to fix the left warning light at the left mirror (or an equally visible left-side position).
  1. Repeat with the right warning light on the right mirror.
  1. ⚠️ Do not swap the left and right units — left/right assignments are critical to warning accuracy.

Step 3 — Wire to ACC power.

  1. Black line → battery negative terminal.
  1. Red line → motorcycle ACC line (key-on 12 V).
  1. How to find ACC on a 12 – 24 V motorcycle:
    • Multimeter on DC voltage. Black probe → battery negative. Red probe → candidate wire.
    • ACC OFF: meter reads 0 V.
    • ACC ON: meter reads 12 V → that is the ACC line.
    • If no wire responds, repeatedly try other candidate wires until the ACC line is found.
  1. Only the 12 – 24 V to 5 V / 2 A supply is supported. Do not connect to raw 12 – 24 V for the host — it requires the regulated 5 V output from the supplied power cord.

Step 4 — First ride.

  • Power on automatically with the bike — no manual switch.
  • A short self-test lights all warning lights briefly; then the system enters monitoring mode.

FAQ

Q1.Does the KG-BSD work on every motorcycle?

Yes. The KG-BSD is specified for all motorcycle models. Only the host bracket may need to be adapted to your specific bike geometry — custom brackets are available on request.
Q2.What frequency band does the radar use?

The KG-BSD uses a 24 GHz millimeter-wave radar — the same band widely adopted in automotive blind-spot detection, offering reliable performance through rain, fog and dust. (For target markets with specific radio-frequency compliance requirements, please contact our sales team for the matching documentation.)

Q3.Is a manual power switch required?

No. The system is designed to power on with the bike through the ACC line — no manual switch, no extra steps before riding.

Q4. How are left vs. right warnings shown?

Left threat = left yellow light. Right threat = right yellow light. Directly-rear closing threat = both lights red. Multi-direction threat = all lights on simultaneously. The two warning units are pre-paired and must not be swapped.

Q5. Can it run all night and in the rain?

Yes. The radar host is weatherproof for all-day, all-weather riding and continues to give accurate readings in rain and fog. Operating temperature is rated −40 °C to 80 °C.

Q6. What power does it need?

The kit accepts 12 – 24 V input from the motorcycle ACC line and converts internally to 5 V / 1 A. Only the supplied regulated power cord should be used; do not bypass the regulator.

Q7. Can I re-brand and re-package this for my own retail channel?

Yes. We support full OEM / ODM — logo, shell color, packaging, manual languages and bracket geometry can all be customized. See Section 9.

Q8. How fast does the warning trigger?

Inside the 30-meter / 130° detection zone, a vehicle approaching at relative speed ≥ 10 km/h triggers a warning in less than 3 seconds, with a warning collision window of 1 – 5 seconds.
